RETURN TO AUSTRALIA TOUR!!

JUKE KARTEL ANNOUNCES THEIR RETURN TO AUSTRALIA TOUR

"ACOUSTIC SESSIONS" EP RELEASE JANUARY 2010 - AUSTRALIA

After spending the majority of 2009 focusing on their career in the US, Juke Kartel are heading home to Australia for a string of tour dates and a new EP release. The EP, entitled, “Acoustic Sessions” will be released exclusively to the Australian market upon their arrival in January. The disc was recorded in Los Angeles and consists of one new song, “Canvas Satellite” and 4 acoustic versions of tracks from their internationally acclaimed debut album, “Nowhere Left To Hide.”
The last 8 months have seen Juke Kartel perform over 20 shows in the Los Angeles area as well as 2shows with Slash & Friends (Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Navarro, Fergie, Billy Idol, Andrew Stockdale, Chester Bennington, Travis Barker and more); one in Norway at the Quartz Music Festival for 30,000people and another performance at the Los Angeles Youth Network benefit in Los Angeles.
As young teenagers, front man Toby Rand, guitarists Todd Burman and Dale Winters along with bassist Tommy Kende first came together to forge what became Juke Kartel. Drummer Jason Pinfold followed suit shortly thereafter. Like brothers they finish each other's sentences, bicker, bait and wind each other up, but the fraternal love is self-evident, along with the mutual admiration and respect. "We're more than just band mates. We're a family that chose each other.” Among the bands many accomplishments, their biggest highlight was being the first unsigned artist to perform at the MTV Awards Australia and receiving a People’s Choice Award in 2008. The band had played its fair share of small clubs and pubs for the last few years before Nickelback asked them to open two stadium gigs in Melbourne . Followed by a national arena tour of the USA and Canada with Rockstar Supernova. Back in Los Angeles, the band has secured a production deal with Emmy & Academy Award winning Scout Productions, who will produce an on the road with Juke Kartel show following their journey as a foreign band as they seek to break ground on US soil.
Juke Kartel are looking forward to getting back to their homeland to perform in front of their fans, friends, and family.

A huge thankyou to all those that saw Juke Kartel on their recent Australian Tour. Seven weeks, 34 shows, 5 states and and a whole heap of new found friends. For JK, to finish the tour off to a sell out crowd at Milano's Melbourne, being their final Australian farewell show was awesome!! We will be back!!!

Moving forward, Juke Kartel are now pumped to mix it up in the US as they arrived in Los Angeles last week. After a few days of setting up in their new LA homes, JK amongst other things, will hit the studio this week for new writing sessions and full rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming Hollywood Shows. JUKE KARTEL PUT ON THE BOOTS FOR THE VICTORIAN FIRE APPEAL!

In a star studded line up, Juke Kartel joined the likes of Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace), Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Swordfish, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and many other actors, musicians and professional athletes for a competitive round of soccer matches south of Santa Monica beach today. Tommy Kende joined forces with Jess Spencer (House M.D) and co, while Toby and Todd teamed up with Simon Baker (The Mentalist), Gracie Otto and the experienced LaPaglia among others. Toby held his own admirably; scoring two blistering goals for his side while team mate and goalkeeper, LaPaglia saved the day numerous times with some amazing keeping. It was not enough, however to secure victory; that accolade going to Dale's team, charging home to win the final, lead by Vinnie Jones (250+ Premier League games), Billy Duffy (The Cult) and team mates.

Richard Branson also showed up to support the event, sponsoring the day with all proceeds given to The THE AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS, VICTORIAN FIRE APPEAL. A fun day for all for a worthy cause. Our hearts go out to all the families who have lost their loved ones in the devastating fires back home.

Due to Juke Kartel having to extend their US stay for two weeks, the Australian release date for NOWHERE LEFT TO HIDE has been moved from March 13th to April 3rd.

JK will be participating in Anthony LaPaglia's Australian Bushfire Relief Charity Soccer Game at the Palisades Charter High School, 15777 Bowdoin Street, Pacific Palisades on Saturday 28th February at 10:30am. All monies generated on the day will go directly to The Australian Red Cross to assist in the aftermath of Black Saturday.
